The ears had it doctor...

A man arrived at work with both ears bandaged. "What on earth happened to you?" his boss enquired. "I was ironing my shirt when the phone rang and I accidently answered the iron," the man explained. "That accounts for one ear, but what about the other?" "Well I had to phone the doctor."

I can't help but wonder if this was a wireless iron. Before electric irons were made all irons were wireless. Apparently some technologies are going backwards. Good article
