Terrorists allegedly heading for China from training camps.... Chinese officials reportedly claimed instances of seperatist militants returning to China from Al qaeda training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan to allegedly carry out terrorist attacks during the Beijing Olympic Games.This has to be pure speculation until evidence is produced to prove such claims. They also claimed militants are entering Xinjiang, China's westernmost province, via Hong Kong as well as directly across the mountain ranges that seperate China from Tajikastan and Afghanistan. A Chinese official familiar with China's counter - terrorism planning claimed the terrorists were determined to disrupt the Olympics; this would be a credible claim under the circumstances. They were, allegedly,directly funded from central asia and through their involvement in smuggling opium from the golden triangle region in SE Asia. Again a credible claim because the Chinese Government itself was involved in such actions decades ago.
