Stupid youth pranks set off anti-terrorist alarm in Australia...
Stupid youth pranks set off an anti-terrorist enquiry - stink bombs on rail stations... Once upon a time a prank like setting off a stink bomb on a commuter train wouldn't have created too much of a stir, but in these post 9/11 days explosions are taken very seriously. The culprits of this prank were caught on security camera footage, and they then set off another one at a north Sydney railway station in Australia. Passengers began to panic after hearing the explosions on the train between St Leonards and Wollstonecraft stations - the two teenaged culprits had got on the train at St Leonards, the scene of the second explosion. Police, including the elite counter - terrorism command, responded after numerous calls reporting the explosions. The fate of the culprits is unknown! This was a particularly immature and stupid prank, which could have led to endangerment of the lives of the young men and others involved. The innocent days of yore that many of us older people in western countries remember, are, unfortunately, well gone I'm afraid.
