New York tragedy - window washers platform collapsed...
A tragedy in New York when window washers platform collapses - worker falls 47 floors to his death. His brother, a fellow worker, was taken to hospital in a serious state. The brothers were getting onto scaffolding from the roof of the 47 floor building when the platform gave way. The brothers just fell all the way down. The dead man and parts of the scaffold fell and landed in a plaza area outside the building on the Upper East Side of the city. The names of the brothers had not been available at the time of reporting. A doorman stated they had been employed at the building for about three years; the building owner extended its sympathy to the workers family and said it would cooperate with the invetigation into the tragic accident.
