More from the mad, the bad, the sad - the weird: Odd deaths and diets...
More from the bad, the mad, the sad and the weird: Odd deaths and diets. The second part and finale to last weeks screamers: Many deaths occurred in 2007 that were, sadly, hardly noticed. To die lonely and hardly missed must be a terrible contemplation. In Zagreb, a Croatian man boarded a night tram and died in his seat - but continued to ride through the city for another six hours - I guess the driver thought he was sleeping and left him alone - before his death was actually discovered. Great to be missed? Yeah right! Unusual diets made headlines in 2007 too, such as the "no more crispy duck at Beijing toilets". This was a new central government policy for the coming Olympic Games - banning food stalls in public toilets(Yuck!)after complaints of poor sanitation in these places. A bit of cracked quack! Lets continue on in this vein: In China, a 66 year old, Jiang Musheng, claimed a personal history of over 40 years of swallowing live tree frogs and rats had helped him avoid intestinal pain and made him strong. Yeah Right! British artist Mark McGowan ate a meal of meatballs made from a dead corgi dog - in protest against animal cruelty. The dog which had died of natural cause tasted terrible. I wonder why? And finally from the wild, wild west: there's poker, rattlesnakes and many, many unsavoury characters - "there's a bunch of snakes becoming involved with another bunch of snakes!" someone claimed. And the crude: A Virginian woman has been charged with battery after wiping her nose on the back of a police officer's shirt. She had been attacking another man when arrested - then proceeded to rub her snot on his back. Just the type to bring home to Mother? Yeah right! Until later friends. |
