Knut the famous polar bear cub receives death threats in Berlin Zoo - local police take it seriously. The polar bear cub in Berlin Zoo,known as Knut, will get 15 personal bodyguards as fears for his future are in doubt. Berlin Zoo has reviewed cuddly Knut's security arrangements after it received a sinister hand written threat against the life of Knut. Knut's minders have been trebled as the Zoo has taken the threats seriously. His body guards are dressed in orange bibs and equipped with walkie talkies as they patrol his enclosure area.Their job is to monitor any suspicious behaviour amongst the hordes of fans that come to visit Knut every day. Such threats are common among prominent figures and Knut fits into this category, the local police chief reportedly claimed.
