Don't show off about your lovely northern summer...
Hey, I don't want to hear or read any comments about your lovely northern summer. It is freezing the testicles off brass monkeys in New Zealand at present. A polar blast has hit the country from way down in the antarctic; falling snow and treacherous ice in the south to hail, sleat and freezing rain in the north. The big international rugby test match played last night(July 5 2008) between the New Zealand All Blacks and the South African Springbocks, (the reigning Rugby World Cup champions) was played in the wet and freezing cold at Wellington's Westpac Stadium and won by the All Blacks,18-9. Well it is a winter sport, I guess! We can't complain really, because we had one of our best summers in a decade and some of the hottest weather in thirty years. Climate change? Cyclical weather patterns? Who knows? Ask Al Gore! All very tongue in cheek, though!
