Calling all cars, calling all cars...
Calling all cars, calling all cars... Thailand police have put out an all points bulletin for used cooking oil to fuel their patrol cars as increasing oil prices threaten to decimate their annual crime fighting budget. Anyone is welcome to donate old cooking oil for biodiesel, from large food processing plants to roadside fried banana stalls. Thai police in this globalised world need to hold their weapons in one hand when arresting the crooks, while the other hand is making biodiesel for their patrol cars. The head of a biofuel project at a Bangkok police station said the Thai police expected to have 80 of their 1500 stations nationwide running their vehicles on biodiesel by the end of the year.
